Ann Arbor Film Festival 2025

The Ann Arbor Film Festival is one of the longest running experimental film festivals in North America. As a Michigan native, being a part of the AAFF was a goal I strove for throughout my filmmaking career. In the middle of my sophomore year of college, I was honored to have my experimental short film if someone were to find me featured in the New Voices Program at the AAFF. This short film utilizes childhood home videos, disturbing photos, and whispered journal entries to explore the relationship between memory and body. After the screening, I participated in a panel and discussed my work among other filmmakers.

NOVA24

In July 2025, the NOVA24 Photo + Film festival screened my experimental short film if someone were to find me as part of their “Something’s Not Quite Right” screening. This compilation of shorts focused on eerie films from a variety of artists.

The Barbershop Gallery

In August of 2025, I had the opportunity to participate in a screening and discussion of my films if someone were to find me and PULP at The Barbershop Art and Book Gallery. These two experimental shorts were created within the same week, at a time in my life where I was experiencing excruciating medical issues. Throughout the development of the films, I focused on the dynamic between the body and life or death circumstances. The films allowed me to ruminate on my discomfort about fertility (PULP) and my physical form (if someone were to find me).

I would like to thank the gallery for giving me the opportunity to discuss these films with fellow creatives. Both shorts can be found on my YouTube channel or Instagram account.
